"Food and Travel is like 'yin' and 'yang', they complete each other!"
While the world is debating what actually made up for American Food or/and American Cuisine, here I would categorize based on a very simple rule of thumb. As long as the food or its variety evolves mainly bread or wheat based (which included burgers, sandwiches) with grilled, roasted or baked stuff like sausages, meats or steaks that are usually served as entrees. For simplification purpose, some of the fast food that I took in United States would also be classified under this category.
