We arrived at the town of Lorne around noon. A prime holiday location with a few strips of commercial blocks, something not to miss in Lorne is Teddy's Lookout. Sits on a small hilltop about 9 km inland, Teddy's Lookout is a must visit. With a short drive cutting through residential and grassland, followed by a 5 minute hike, we were rewarded with a fascinating aerial view of the Great Ocean Road as it winds its way around the coast.

Not far from Lorne, after we passed Kennnett River is Cape Patton Lookout. The photographer's delight, this small area stands right beside the main road. Favorite pit stop amongst the tour operators, the crowd came and disappeared within minutes.

Apollo Bay greeted us next. Relative to all the towns that we have passed so far, this is a pretty sizable one. Bright sunny sky rushed us to explore the Mariner's Lookout. Situated on private land, this hill offers a panoramic view of Apollo Bay. Green carpet sweeping on the foreground, clusters of colorful homes across before a superimposed crescents that shape shoreline next to the blue water. Coupled with great wind and height condition, this place is an ideal spot for paragliding.

Next on the road, we hit Gibson Steps - the grandest sand beaches in Australia!
