The Twelve Apostles is a stop not to be missed. The trip across the Great Ocean Road would not be complete without seeing the majestic collection of rock towers rising more than 65 m from the ocean. They are the result of erosion from the sea and winds of the limestone cliff over 30 million years ago. If you cannot get a complete viewing satisfaction from the viewing platforms, helicopter rides are provided (for a fee) to give you a bird's eye view of the landscape.

Signposts are many to make sure no one will pass this icon without a stop. Designated parking area is ample, equipped with visitor's center and restrooms facilities. Getting to the viewing platform however requires a bit of decent walk. No bushes, no woods, it is straight on the paved paths towards the cliff-top viewing platforms. The view here is amazing! And never try to count the number of 'apostles', it is next to impossible to get a tally of twelve at the lookout points here. Perhaps, you could from the chopper ride :) Just enjoy the nature treat and forget the math.

Do you see people (dots) on top of the cliff?

At this point, my soul begged me to stay longer but the clicking moments challenged against :). How I wish I could make the clock stops ticking!

Never miss a special encounter next on the road - 3 themes at 1 stop, it is The Loch Ard Gorge!
