If you think of a classic English-style afternoon tea in Penang, Winter Warmers Tea & Coffee House is the place to be! Making first debut in Penang at Gurney Plaza food zone, it stands exactly opposite Breeks and next to Starbucks Coffee at ground floor. Not long after that, Winter Warmers operates at Queensbay Mall and Auto City as well to serve for the south-eastern and mainland folks. The facade of Winter Warmers outlet at Gurney Plaza
Of a warm wooden colored facade, Winter Warmers may not attract you on the first sight. But as you observe the tableware and tea cups used to serve her patrons, you could be wondering whether you are in Penang or in England! Winter Warmers adopted a different table setting whereby the Bone China tea sets are used to serve when their customers order a pot of tea. They provide customers the luxurious of enjoying the meals in British ambiance!

Appealing tea cup!
Iced Fruit Tea, Hot Milk Tea and Herbal Tea are among the top attractions of the tea range offered. The tea is imported from Germany and it is prepared from fine loose leaves. They also serve Italian Coffee like Espresso, Cappucino and flavored coffees. For non-caffeine drinkers, you may opt for decaffeinated beverages from their menu. For something solid, they have sandwiches, scones, cakes, waffles besides the much heavier meals like pasta or grills. They have practically an enormous selection for breakfast, lunch, tea/snacks and even dinner.

We were roaming at Gurney Plaza for breakfast. There was not many cafes operate at early hours like 9:30 am. Considering Gurney Plaza is a mall, business usually get bustling after lunch. We coincidentally found Winter Warmers as it offers an attractive breakfast sets at RM6.90 and RM7.90 with free flow of coffee or tea.

We opted for a set of breakfast with coffee. A croissant with choices of either egg or tuna. My Significant Other picked the egg. It also came with pasta and some steamed potato cubes.

Then, we pampered ourselves with the Cake of the Day which was a Blueberry Cheese Cake (RM4.90).
Cheese cake is my favorite!
Lastly, we also tried their Ice-cream Waffle (RM9.90).

Overall experience is pleasant. Food and beverages are good but you have to bear with the service speed. Winter Warmers is the place if you are looking for cafe to sit down, unwind and relax when time is all yours!
