The best of Langkawi RestaurantsArguably the finest Japanese of all Langkawi restaurants, the diners are wowed by the impressive selection of dishes particularly sashimi and sushi at Unkaizan. A cozy eatery nestled against a tiny hill on Jalan PantaiTengah, the decor of Unkaizan is a blend of nature and rustic oriental charm. From Holiday Villa Resorts, it is only about a 5-minute walk.   Speaking of food, this is a fine dining restaurant with a dynamic menu aside from the standard dishes featured. Stating on white board, it describes the chef's recommendation, serving the freshest and finest seafood of what they have for the day and the season!  Won the Malaysia's BEST restaurant award since 2005 as stated in Langkawi restaurants guide, Unkaizan lives up to its title. Nothing else describes the food better than awesome. I was very impressed with their food presentation as well at which I could sense how much effort had been placed in to serve such an amazing cuisine.  The One and Only of Langkawi Restaurants: Authentic, Great Value & Extremely Friendly ServiceIf you're on the isle, this is one of the best restaurants Langkawi has to offer. For the great value of food at Unkaizan, stick to standard menu (price range around RM40 to 60) instead of the items on special board at which we find are more pricey but truly authentic and distinctive.   Everything else in this establishment - the best of all Langkawi restaurants we visited is flawless except the speed of food delivery. They took at least 30 to 40 minutes to be served. However when the food arrived, the presentation, aroma and flavor were very well explained how fabulous they were prepared aside from the extremely polite and apologetic waitstaff to keep us waiting. And nothing else but a regret, we should have discovered Unkaizan in our earlier trips to Langkawi!! Direction on Google Map: |
