For budget travelers, food is relatively inexpensive (standard price, no mark-up) especially if you walk into any of the chain restaurants. Parking space is ample gives it a convenience plus. Bus, taxi and car rentals service are also available.  If you enter into Langkawi by sea without dragging many luggage, consider visiting Eagle Square or fondly known as 'Dataran Lang' by the locals. Lang is a short named of 'Helang' at which means Eagle. Built on concrete stilts, surrounded by water, only bridges take one into this park that sits adjacent to Jetty Point. Iconic to some people, the Eagle Square is a must snap of Langkawi attractions for kids to make it a fond memory that last a lifetime.  Made-made, this giant eagle is designed with its wings flapping up, overlooking the sea as if it is ready to conquer the sky. In order to get the best shot from front view, bring along a wide angle lens and the photographer has to stand at the furthest V-point on Eagle Square platform. Alternatively, take a stroll at the waterfront near the ferry terminal and you may get a good shot for side view. The best time to visit in the evening if you wish to stay a bit longer. An open place, without much shade so if you arrive on a sizzling hot afternoon, bring a hat or rub on some sun block.   No doubt today Langkawi International Airport serves as one of the most preferred options for tourists to get into Langkawi, getting to Eagle Square is still a breeze. Renting a car is a good option for Langkawi sightseeing whether you're putting up in the beach chalets, Langkawi hotels or amidst the mountainous inland resorts.
