Landry's Seafood is one of the best rated seafood restaurants along Kemah Boardwalk. Typically full house on weekends, Landry's at Kemah is also the most scenic outlet, situated near Houston overlooking horizon by the Gulf of Mexico.
Landry's Seafood at Kemah
We arrived half past seven anticipating a huge crowd on Saturday night. We went ahead into Landry's and put down our name on the wait list. The host staff told us a standard wait-time between 45 minutes to an hour. She did suggest that we took a stroll and came back after half an hour but we decided to sit down and wait for our turn.

Seafood and sea breeze
Holding our growling stomach, we waited patiently and in less than 20 minutes, our turn was called. Waste no time while queuing, we browsed the menu and had made up our mind for what to have for a seafood dinner. Thus, as soon as we got seated, we told the server staff what we wanted. Interestingly, everybody ordered the same thing which was a Seafood Platter and a large bowl of Clam Chowder.
Everything looks good!
Food was served in less than 15 minutes. Besides what we ordered, the entree came with garlic break and vegetable salad as complimentary.
Salad on the house
I wished the clam chowder was served in a bread bowl like what I had in San Francisco despite I know it was unlikely after reading the menuSmile. I spooned and took a sip of it and all I could say was awesome. The clam chowder was creamy, perfect with garlic bread and beyond my expectation!

There are two types of seating environment, one of indoor which we opted. Alternatively, outdoor seating by the sea and get brushed by the chilled breeze could be a good choice too. Be there early is an advantage as you may catch the view of the trawlers returning to the pier with their catch.
