Chuy's Tex-Mex Restaurant
When Friday comes, it is usually the rest day for my home kitchen. We picked Chuy's for Tex-Mex dinner on one Friday night since this chain restaurant is highly recommended by our local friends in Austin. Furthermore there is one convenience venue, just less than a couple miles from our place. Despite the fact Chuy's owns several restaurants at various locations in Texas, each restaurant's interior and decoration at different venue possibly portray a huge variance. Basically, there is no duplicate image to recognise but not to worry, the name 'Chuy's' is always prominent!
Tummy treat at Chuy's
A pretty popular venue indeed. We saw some folks were waiting outside the restaurant and we were also part of the crowd. We arrived about half past seven and waited for about 40 minutes before being ushered to a cozy indoor corner. Our common practice during queuing is to check out the menu thus as soon as we sat down, we were ready to order.
All kind of wheel's rims above us!
My Significant Other opted for Chuy's Special which is a platter of blue corn tortillas stacked with roasted chicken, cheese and tomatillo sauce. This is an enchilada and the accompaniments are either Mexican rice or Green Chile rice and charro beans.
Margarita for the gentleman
I made up my mind for Baja Tacos. My platter was served with battered fried fish and shrimp (one of each) and it was also served with charro beans and Green Chile rice.

Prior to our food's arrival, we were served with a big basket of tortillas and the hot salsa sauce. This was on the house for appetizer. It had been so long since I last treated my tummy for something hot. It really made me felt like being at home! The tortillas were paper thin and crispy. Perfect with salsa sauce! We finished every single piece as they were addictive. Once I started biting, I couldn't stop eating these tortillas Laughing.

We love the food and we would find some time to go back!
