"Traveling is more fun when food comes along!" Thai cuisine is typically known for being hot or spicy! Emphasizing a lots on strong aromatic herbs like cilantro, lemon grass, Thai basils and mint, Thai cuisine strives for balance, detail and variety in their cooking. Generally, it is important to balance five fundamental flavors in Thai food which are hot (spicy), sour, sweet, salty, and occasionally bitter. In spite of the basic rule of thumb, there are variations or perhaps several versions for a same dish prepared that is highly influenced by geographical region or ethnicity.  Talking about Thai food, tomyam is the first dish appearing in my mind! Incorporating salty, tangy (sour) and spicy flavors, tomyam is truly appetizing. If you have sweet tooth and love coconut milk, Thai desserts is perfect for you. Tub tim krob, khanom mo kaeng, ruam mit, khao niao mamuang (khanom means 'cakes' or 'kuih') - just to name a few of all-time favorites. Much more in Thailand!  ขอให้เจริญอาหาร!
