United States (USA)
![]() Sight of sparkling falls, music of rushing water, walking on the rainbow bridge - Niagara Falls certainly gives a sense of awe and wonder! Sits exactly at the international border between Canada and United States of America, Niagara Falls were formed when water from Great Lakes carved through after glaciers receding during the last ice age. Be there to admire and listen to the roaring water of more than 4 million cubic feet falls over the crest line every minutes! Described by many as a 'melting pot' of cultures from around the world, United States of America or fondly known as 'US' is the world's third largest population after China and India. United States or sometimes referred as 'America' is the second largest country in North America. On the map, 48 states are contiguous, bordered between Canada on the north and south with Mexico. Alaska is bounded to the contiguous US by Atlantic Ocean whilst Hawaii is connected by Pacific Ocean on the east. Highly populated along the coastal states namely Florida, California and Pennsylvania, these states offer marvelous experience to explore sophisticated cities and mushrooming skyscrapers in the metropolitan like Big Apple or New York City. Thanks to Hollywood movie makers as most of us get to 'see' America through television and movies but America is not that all about it. United States is also a land of vast distances, rich of natural beauty and some of world-renowned scenery. Be it a spectacular landscape like Grand Tetons in northwestern Wyoming with majestic mountains, pristine lakes, extraordinary wildlife or a mysterious land of desert, river, mountains, canyons in Big Bend National Park of west Texas, United States features various degree of climate, topography and landscape. These places are certainly unique, some perhaps untouched and inviting to naturalists or National Geographic's photographers! |
